Carriages

For a romantic ride through the dreamlike landscape of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. In summer with the carriage over flowering meadows and through the alleys of Old Partenkirchen or in winter with the horse-drawn sleigh. Warmly wrapped in sheepskins and accompanied by the ringing of bells drive through the snowy landscape, past the Olympic ski jump, with mulled wine in your luggage!

The four seasons

Zugspitze

A visit to Germany’s highest mountain is probably in every travel diary of guests of the ATLAS Grand Hotel. From the train station in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the ride on the Zugspitzbahn, one of the few cogwheel railroads in Germany, is already an experience. From the Zugspitzplatt below the summit, the summit cable car takes you up to the 2962 m high mountain. With the Eibsee cable car, you can also reach the summit directly by cable car (www.zugspitze.de).

Die Partnachklamm

In only about 20 minutes on foot from the ATLAS Grand Hotel you can reach the Olympic Ski Stadium with the new imposing ski jump. From there it is less than half an hour’s walk to the entrance of the Partnachklamm gorge to experience a natural spectacle worth seeing. Summer and winter.
